Castaway Goole Film Fest: 12 - 14th October

Oscar Winner Serena Armitage Supports Castaway Film Fest

Serena Armitage, director and producer who is originally from Nun Monkton Yorkshire and best known for producing the short-film ‘Stutterer’ which earned her an Academy Award for ‘Best Live Action Film’ at the 88th Academy Awards, is giving her support to the Castaway film fest.  

She has sent a message of good luck to the film makers who have entered the ‘Made in Yorkshire’


Castaway Film Fest Programme

Wednesday 12th October 10am – 3pm:  Film making Workshop with Peter Snelling of My Pockets

Thursday 13th October 7pm:   ‘Made by Castaway’at the Junction is showcasing the best short films written, produced and filmed by members of Castaway Goole Music Theatre. Go along to see creative music videos, hilarious entertainment shorts and moving advocacy films – laugh, cry and be amazed.

Friday 14th October 7pm:   ‘Made in Yorkshire’ Competition, Estcourt Street, Goole
Short films by Yorkshire makers including Serena Armitage’s 2016 Oscar winning ‘Stutterer’. Winner to be announced on the night.
