Castaway Goole are hosting their very first film festival on the 12th - 14th of October.
Plans for the festival include screenings of films made by Castaway film groups, film production workshops, an open archive of Castaway’s footage, and a short film competition as a finale to the festival.
Wednesday 12th October - Film Workshops (Closed Event)
Peter Snelling, a professional film maker who has his own Hull-based production company called My Pockets, who will be hosting workshops for local schools and Castaway members at the Castaway Theatre on Estcourt Street. Peter will be including in the workshops techniques in filmmaking, animation and his own approach to storytelling.

Thursday 13th October - ‘Made By Castaway’ (Ticketed Event)
A showcase of films made by Castaway's film groups

Friday 14th October - Castaway Archive(Day)

Friday 14th October - 'Made in Yorkshire' Film Competition (Eve) (Ticketed Event)
In the evening there will be a finale with the film festival’s competition - ‘Made in Yorkshire’. This event will be opened with the showing of the North Yorkshire short Oscar winning film ‘SUTTERER’.
